Famous Group Boyz II Men Pays Tribute To Late Viral Sensation

Boyz II Men, a well-known R&B group, have given a heart-warming tribute to a viral musical performer, #TheSingingDoctor, who recently passed away after a fatal car crash. After learning that #TheSingingDoctor, whose real name is Brandon Rogers, had died, the R&B group took to social media to mourn the loss of the viral video sensation.

This is what the band members wrote on their Facebook page:

“Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers in a car accident. A few months back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us."

"He was great all 3 nights! Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer!"

"Gone too young and gone too soon. It hurts to know that the world will never have a chance to witness what his impact on the world could have been as a Doctor and even on the music world," they wrote.

"A great spirit and a great voice. Even for the little time we knew you, you will be sorely missed."

They finished, "May God Bless, keep and comfort your family in this difficult time."

Dr. Brandon Rogers shot to fame in 2016 when he uploaded a video of himself singing the Boyz II Men track ‘On Bended Knee’. The clip quickly went viral, garnering millions of views and thousands of comments.

The talented doctor even received the attention of the band he had been covering, with Boyz II Men reuploading his original clip to their official Instagram account.

Shortly afterward, Dr. Rogers received an invitation to perform with Boyz II Men, prompting him to take to the stage with the group during their Las Vegas shows.

Unsurprisingly, Dr. Rogers’ death has impacted friends, family and fans differently. According to the Metro, the doctor’s family are “shattered” by the news, and humbled by the response from the musical community.

In an interview with the Metro, one family member, who remains unnamed, spoke about the reaction to Brandon’s death.

“You may have known him for his Boyz II Men covers, he was also invited to sing on stage with them in January,” they said. “He passed away in a car accident.”

Another person close to the family and Brandon told the Metro: “Dr. Brandon was in residency and always created his Instagram stories showing his office routines, singing and his free days with his siblings."

"I know his family is devastated because they are VERY close. I always said I wanted to marry him because of how close he was with his family and how sweet he was.”

Online commenters have reacted to the news of Dr. Rogers’ death with a mixture of sadness and respect. “OMG his voice was Amazing...I remember when i first watched his video loved every min of it....so sad gone way to soon,” wrote Eileen Garner.

Another user, Emma Bowen, quickly agreed, commenting: “Oh wow. No way!!"

She wrote, "What a terrible shame. This man had a voice like velvet!! R.I.P Doc” on the Metro.
